  • grounding issue?

heeyyy I thought this was the right place to post this...
I'm playing a Hagstrom f-200p. I've recently changed the bride pickup to a dp-209 (a humbucker in a p90 package) and have had no problems thus far...however...recently I noticed there is some noise when I let the guitar just sit there, but it only goes away when I touch the guitar cable...
I noticed this on two amps...one is a fender something...my friend's sorry I don't know the model its a 1x12 and on my fender bullet reverb (shitty practice amp) and with two different cables and checked my other guitar and it only happens with this particular guitar...
any suggestions as to what it might be...

Sounds like a pretty common graounding issue. Does the hum go away when you touch the bridge, or the strings?
Every metal piece on electrics usually has to be connected together.
Maybe the input jack isn't connecting properly to ground.
