I've heard mixed reports on the build quality etc., but all I know is this pedal has hung out on my board for quite a while. It has won my shootouts with an OD-820, Klon, Timmy, KOT , BB+ and a few others.
Here's the web info:
The Tube Dancer contains a variation of an Ibanez Tube Screamer and a Bixonic Expandora . It blends the overdriven output signal with the clean input signal at the output. controls to adjust the Drive, Tone, and Level.
I put in a chip socket and installed a tl072, I tried a Burrbrown, 4559, 4558 and a few others, but with my amp and my guitar tl072 was my favorite.
My pedal is serial # 2.
It had a resistor across the input jack which I removed. (It was tone sucking, but no more) I changed a couple bad pot's and switches too.
I love the TEXTURE of the drive, I love the touch response..
I WISH the sweet spot had a bit less dirt. And the over all tone had a bit less mids.
Anybody know about this pedal?
Why is it different than a tubescreamer? How can I mod my other pedals to be more like this?
Thanks for your time!!!!!!
