Kay speed demon guitar

Hi,

First let me say that my interest is in vintage drums and I know ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about guitars, vintage or otherwise.

However, I noticed what was billed as a Kay Speed Demon guitar being offered locally and I'm trying to determine what a fair market price might be for this particular make and model.

The guitar appears to be in excellent condition, both functionally and cosmetically.

HOPEFULLY, I'm in the right forum.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Regarding Kay Speed Demons

I recently sold a late 50's natural finish Speed Demon for $600 with a crazy old case. All original, electronics recently serviced (by me) and very much ready to play. KSDs kind of go all over the place, depending upon where they are and who wants one and how badly. $300 to $1000 range on ebay and gbase.

Cool guitars. Kind of a trouble to get to the electronics if you ever need to. Lotsa cool sounds. The binding gets crazy on those, make sure and throw a good eye on that, and work the nuts out of the electronics.
