mono summing

what is the best way for me to sum my two amplified speaker outs to one channel?

i was curious about using a single hifi speaker in mono as a further switchable monitor reference when mixing.
anyone else use one of these crapboxes?

The best way is to sum them to mono BEFORE the amp with a mixer, or buld a box that will do that with the low-level signals. You'll run into more problems and expense trying to do that after the amp.
