marshall potentiometer

hi im having trouble finding a pot

it from the mg series (marshall) it is the master volume pot

marshall model number-
VRCD0038 - POTENTIOMETER 1601 C5K 15MM

i have contacted a few amp parts websites online but none of them seem to have it. and from what im told marshall will only sell to authorised service centres,

any suggestions on where i could look please?
can i replace with a non genuine marshall pot maybe?

In the USA anyway, Marshall (Korg USA) will not sell direct to you, but any Marshall dealer can order the parts.

You might include the model number, "MG Series" includes a whole lot of models, and at least where I looked in the MG50 that particular pot is not used.

www.marshallparts.com should be able to get it for you. When you contacted these various web sites, did you actually contact them and ask about the part? Or did you just look for it listed on their web sites. Not all parts are listed online.
