I have tried the linkwitz mod using the phantom power from the sound-board and I am experiencing very little low freq. in the mic? any suggestions? I did try to seal the back of the mic with silicone as I read was a cure, but to no avail. I am using the WM-61A capsule.

Hi, I've tried the mod a couple of time with no trouble (apart from hardly being able to see what I was doing).
Is it possible you've damaged the capsule with excessive heat?

No I don't think that i ruined it I have done it 3 times. They sound pretty good until I compare it to a dbx measurement mic and the dbx seems to have twice the low end?
