  • OK, I have a question, I hope it's not a stupid one, LOL... about fuses

I got a handful of Alesis amps in for our service guy to work on, and they have "T6.3" amp fuses. From what I can find, that's a time delay fuse... can a slow blo of the same amperage be substituted for that? One of the suppliers we buy parts from has the T fuses, but our service guy is coming in tomorrow, and I thought I'd help him get a step ahead if the slow blo fuses will work, because our local Radio Shack has them in stock so I wouldn't have to wait to make an order of them.... Like I said, I'm not our service guy, I'm just trying to help him out by staying a step ahead of what we get in

Yes, Slow Blo fuses are time delay fuses. I believe that it actually was a trade name originally that has sort of become generic for time delay fuse.

Thanks! I figured they probably were the same thing, but I wasn't positive. This will help us out, as I can run to RS and get some so Bill (our service guy) can get into the amps tomorrow. Thanks again!
