  • Princeton Reverb Footswitch

    Looking for an extension cable for my new Princeton Reverb re-issue......a headphone extension cable doesn't work. Any ideas????

    Are you positive the headphone extension cable you tried is good?
    Check the continuity of it with a meter.
    Lightly bend the cable, up & down the length, looking for a break.
    The footswitch is a tip, ring, sleeve arraingement.
    Tip is Vibrato.
    Ring is Reverb.
    Sleeve is ground.

      Yes, I have thoroughly checked the cable. A guy at the local music store also suggested a headphone cable, but when he tried it, he said "not happy with the headphone cable". Then he contacted Fender, who told him it is a 2 conductor cable, but only the reverb wire is shielded. He is getting a cable made up.......will post results.

        Got the cable today.........it is a 1/4" male TRS to 1/4" female TRS balanced cable. Works perfectly!!!!
