  • 1FB2B1B Accutronics Tank

I am looking at a solid state Traynor YVM-3 PA 4-channel head. Can't have much power at all with 2- 2n3055 output resistors. I am getting rid of it. Can't imagine it being worth more than $25 and slow at that price. But, there is a nice working Accutronics short reverb tank in it. The first number is "1" rather than 4, 8 or 9. Does anyone know what the "1" stands for? I am just curious. The rest of the numbers/letters make sense. The reverb tank is dated 1975. My inclination is to keep the tank and toss the head.

Just means its a type 1 a style or physical appearance
      see here Accutronics & Belton

      --------------------------------1FB2B1B
      DIGIT #1 - REVERB TYPE---------1 = Type 1
      DIGIT #2 - INPUT IMPEDANCE----F = 1475 Ohm
      DIGIT #3 - OUTPUT IMPEDANCE--B = 2250 Ohm
      DIGIT #4 - DECAY TIME----------2 = Medium (1.75 to 3.0 sec)
      DIGIT #5 - CONNECTORS---------B = Input Grounded / Output Insulated
      DIGIT #6 - LOCKING DEVICES-----1 = No Lock
DIGIT #7 - MOUNTING PLANE-----B = Horizontal Open Side Down

It could be turned into a stand alone reverb unit but possibly now the schematic
of the reverb area is a bit basic compared to some modern designs

The first digit is the size and shape of the unit.
