making a bias probe help

hey, i am making a bias probe for 6l6s with tube base wired to an octal base with 1 ohm into pin 8, 100 ohm into pin 8and 1 meg into pin 3 resisters does this sound like the probe will give accurate reading? and what multi meter will work for biasing, just a cheap one that will read ohms?
and where the bias dial on a marshall sl x
