Hello guys! I'm not sure where to post this but here goes.
I'm starting up a new build and have checked the voltages with new tubes using a lightbulb current limiter. After it started up fine I plugged straight into the wall and tested my plate voltages and heater voltages. My heater voltages seem alright with no tubes @ about 7 VAC but my plate voltages seem too high. I'm shooting for about 385 VDC but am reading 437VDC. Is a higher plate voltage to be expected with no tubes in the amp? I'm just curious because this is my first build and so far there have been no issues whatsoever which is making me suspicious lol.
Thanks in advance!
