  • Mojotone or Stewmac for P90 kit??

Hi guys, been awhile. I am going to be doing a P90 shortly and am wondering whose kit is better, Stews or Mojos, Stews has the plastic bobbin or fibre option which is better?

Scroll down to the pickup makers forum and ask there. those are the guys who know all about that stuff. Plastic bobbins are original to the P90.

I think it's about time somebody wound a humbucking p90.
There is just too much noise w/ a single coil, and we need
a PU that fits in the same screw holes.

      OK thanks.

They've been making a hum cancelling P-90. Gibson calls them P-100's. IMO they don't have a true P-90 "character" in their sound. In 2002 I purchased a '56 style Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that had P-100's in it. They sounded quite "lame" to me. I later purchased/installed a set of "traditional" P-90's for the guitar. They're NOT much noisier than the P-100's, but the sound is MUCH more satisfying.......'just sayin'
