Transistor ID - Rookie Question

I'm trying to find a replacement for a transistor from a Yamaha CR-1020.

It's a TO-92 package and it reads
D400
E-7A

I can't find this anywhere.

2SD400 Transistor

The correct part number may be 2SD400.

In the Japanese transistor number system, and by extension most Asian transistors, the "2S" is understood. So C945 is 2SC945, and A733 is 2SA733. Etc.
