  • Ok, Stupid question about a Blues Deluxe.

So, I took apart a 1993 (I think) Blues Deluxe and resoldered all the sketchy and broken joints. While I was taking it apart, I labeled all the wires with the number of the plug it went to (don't skip this step!). The one thing I neglected to label was the reverb wire. It is a red and white RCA pair. Which is the in and which is the out. Doh!

    Thanks, Shannon

Turn the amp on, and the reverb up mid-way. Now take the two cables out of the reverb pan and touch the tip of each one. One of them should make a hum come out the speaker when touched. plug THAT one into the jack marked OUTPUT on the reverb pan.

And alternatively, plug them into the pan, does teh reverb now work? If it does, they are correct. If the reverb does not work, then reverse them.

    O prefer teh first method.

      Thanks

The Red was in and the Black was out. And, I double checked it's a '94. Before the resolder, it was doing the "switching channels", "volume cutting out" thing as it got warm. One of the 470 ohm 5w resistors had unsoldered itself. It's all better now.
