Dynacord 1000 mixing desk problem

hi out there
i have a dynacord 1000 mixing desk and i have a problem with the dual chanel effects the display went out and the effects stopped working need some help with this one please . would be much appreciated

I do not know that particular board but since both systems have one thing in common and which does not effect the working signal paths: 5 volt power supply output.
It might be the supply itself or a defect in either of those subsystems which is drawing excess current. From pure probability only, the regulator in the supply or a bypass capacitor on one of the two subsystems would be at fault.

The 5 volt regulator is on the power amp schematic.
