Hello all. I have just signed up but have been lurking here for a while.
I have for repair a Bose PAS PS1 which has an intermittent fault that renders it dead.
The first time I looked at it I could not get it to fault , however, this time it will not pass audio through the DSP section. The power amplifiers are working and the power supplies are all there and I can see each audio channel going into the DSP board but nothing comes out.
It did start briefly whilst on the bench but then sputtered and stopped, the only clue was I noticed the green power indicator had briefly turned orange.
It would also be helpful to know if the unit should pass audio without the remote connected. The remote shows no sign of life except sometimes when switched on one of the signal lights latches on until power is removed. looks like the DSP is locked up but there is buss activity.
Any help would be much appreciated.
