Curious if anyone would have a line on some behringer replacement parts? I'm looking for the input pcb and the master pcb for a mx3242x mixer. Thanks in advance for any info.

Yeah,
they are presently working on their own parts distribution center in Las vegas somewhere. in sept they were supposed to have it up & running in 2 weeks...it's now Jan, so your guess is as good as anyones.
they have been sending me the same e-mail indicating they're working on it, but no eta has been suggested. we have had parts on order since before sept last year.

Thanks for the reply Mars. I live just down the road from Behringer in Bothell here in Washington and have had a number of conversations with them regarding the parts situation. Thought I would try my luck posting here in hopes someone might be parting one out. I use my gear for running sound for local bands in the area and with mine being down I can't book any shows with anyone. I will probably have to just bite the bullet and buy a new board. I own a number of behringer products and have always been able to acquire repair parts so I'm a little disgusted with behringer and the way they are handling things right now. Does not make me feel comfortable purchasing any more of their products that is for sure. Thanks again for the reply.

The PC boards will not be available even when parts distribution starts. That is not how they have ever operated in the past. Are these two boards physically damaged beyond repair? If so, check with warranty shops, they probably have some junker mixers taking up room that have repairable pcb's.
There is nothing in the mixer that is difficult to repair but getting some of the pots can be a headache because they were never readily available.
What is wrong with the boards? If broken physically, just get a new mixer, they are cheaper than repair massive physical damage.

Actually, from what I have been told by behringer here in Bothell is that they will be available once they get there parts distribution back up. Yes, the boards are fried. The power supply failed and over volted the +17 rail to +33 volts. It literally blew chunks off the boards as well as traces. The reasons for being hesitant about buying a new board is a: I'm most familiar with this board, b: this board has 16 xlr inputs with direct outs for each channel. Looking around the net I don't see any new boards with 16 xlr ins with direct outs for each channel. I record live shows for some bands and with this board I'm able to record every vocal, instrument, and a full drumset mic kit multitrack and mix it down later. It just has some good features I haven't seen on newer boards. Thanks for your reply

I would be really surprised if Behringer stocked boards for anything, they never did before even in Germany, when whole products are so much cheaper than stocking parts for the same product. Those boards will likely, if they were available cost much more than a new mixer. Maybe Craig's list or eBay and get a backup,they will be cheap. The US division was never interested in the tech side, they are all salesmen and the world headquarters moved away from stocking parts for most units, preferring to replace them instead of repairing many models.

You will find that most of the damaged boards are OK, a high voltage situation can take out components but many fail-short which protects the rest. I repaired many a Behringer which had a supply problem that smoked the board only to find the damage was pretty localized, so just a couple tantalum caps and a IC actually died. The first one to blow, protects the rest which have not blown. That principal is used in many products for reverse polarity and over-voltage protection by adding components which will fail predictably as shorts. Tracing it can be frustrating without the proper test instruments that can measure milliohms or using a variable constant current supply to energize the rails and measure voltage drop on various busses to pinpoint the trace with the short on it.

Just happened to be working on a Behringer Vampire LX1-112 that needs a new input board (Headphone and input jack PCB). Called 425-672-0816 and gave my order to a salesman and he said that the accounting group will contact me about payment information. It all seemed too simple based on what I am finding about obtaining Behringer parts. I will let you all know what happens. Maybe they have changed their ways? We will see!

Well, maybe they aren't changing their ways. Called them back today to check on order status and was now told it could be several weeks before my order is pulled and shipped at which time, the accounting group will contact me about payment and shipping directions. Luckily the owner is in no hurry so he can wait. Don't know why it takes so long.

In the future, you might check with Jon Frondelli at dBm audio in NY. I remember that they are stocking some behringer stuff and I think that they are a fact rep store. IIRC.

Finally received the input board for a Behringer Vampire LX1-112 that I ordered back in January! I called their parts distributor in Washington State every other week and finally last week, I talked to someone who had me send a check to Music Group Services in Las Vegas and it arrived yesterday. The part was only $14.77 including shipping. Apparently they are still having distribution problems but they are trying to get on track. They do not accept credit, debit or PayPal yet as they are still getting their financial software on line. So there is hope for obtaining Behringer parts, you just have to be persistent and patient.
