I was looking to swap the pickups in my active circuitry Jazz Bass and Have used Dimarzios religiously in the past in all my passive basses.
i figured why not throw a pair of Model Js in this bass.
But when i called Dimarzio to ck on this they said it wouldn't work cause all their p/us were Hi-z and I needed to have Lo-z for any active circuit bass or guitar.
I have found out that the actual circuit in the Jazz bass is an active EQ type not a full on preamp.
So can someone shed some clarity o this whole thing ?
