  • KAWAI M8000 spares

    Hi all,

    Just another newbie, yes

This is not explicitly written in the forum title but I'm afraid you only deal with guitars, don't you?

Anyway, some of you may have seen a broken Kawai M8000 midi master keyboard somewhere in a recording studio back closet

I bought mine already totally unusable, I changed its microprocessor, its memory chip, the battery, it works, but not at 100% .
I got the schematics but I can't figure out of to solve the last problems (power up configuration is always messy).

So, if anyone saw a broken one and could be as kind to sell me its main Printed Circuit Board, I surely be one of the happiest man on earth.

    Please spread the word.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Regards,
    Arthur.

      Hi,
      Thanks for stopping by

Unfortunately, it's an original schematics book (you know onr of these paper things) and it's about a hundred pages, some of them are spread over 4 pages wide.
If a precise section could help you in help me, please tell me where to begin to scan

      Thx !

        The microprocessor part

Here is an excerpt, the main one, the one I think is faulty.

I don't have an emulator, so I think I'll have to reverse engineer the ROM chip in order to bypass some of the functions I don't need and set some values where they lack.

Thanks for throwing a bit of an eye on my schematics

        regards,

            Hi Arjan,
thank you very much for your answer.
I think I missed something because I didn't receive any alert for your post.
That's a pity because several monthes passed since then.

            Where are you from ?
As I think you're not living in France, may I ask you if you'd be kind enough to sell the main circuit board only, if you wish to.

            Thank you.
            Art.
