behringer ddx3216 problem help needed

i am new to the list and need to ask a few questions about my behringer ddx3216.


the unit turns on and all leds flash on then go off

unit boots up to the welcome message ---( DDX3216 AUTOMATED DIGITAL MIXING CONSOLE )
shows firmware V1.1

the faders position at 0-

the preset display flashes +1 8. and goes off ---that as far as it goes.

i am wondering if it needs a firmware upgrade or presets loaded in.

i performed the factory reset --it works as normal ending with the Lcd showinG ( FADER CALIBRATION DONE) AFTER THAT I CAN NOT GET ANYTHING ELSE DONE.

is this the point that i should try to load presets?

i have tried to access firmware load in through the rs232 port but get no response

the preamp section works, when i plug a mic in i see action on the signal / clip led

is there a diagnostic procedure?

It is most likely to be bad caps in the power supply, but be forewarned: those mixers were riddled with problems.

thank you very much for the reply. i read that there is a link to a video or instructions for recapping the psu. i searched but cannot find anything. would you have any suggestions?

do you have this display +1 8 even after the firmware reset ??

My console also does this thing, but this must be any hint to EProm / Flashprom trouble. My console doen´t store presets in flash anymore.

Does anyone have more informations about this error codes ?

I´m also messing around with my anaout-board, and have seen several messages in the mean time.
