    And are usually covered with prodigious amounts of silicone glue to keep them from vibrating loose. Over the years I have seen dozens if not hundreds of domed ( even exploded)caps in just about every kind of audio and video equipment. The old rule of overating by 20% no longer applies. It's disposable technology and planned obsolescence. Powered monitors seem to be especially prone to it. Not just M-Audio either.
