Mackie 1604vlz aux3/4 pre-fader mod

Hey folks...I was wondering if anyone knows if there a mod to make aux 3/4 on a Mackie 1604VLZ pre fader? I have heard there is but can't find it. I would email Mackie and there is a slim chance they'd even get back to me but I'd like to do this for tomorrow night for band practice.

I looked everywhere on the interwebs and nada...there is mention made of it but no instructions...
