  • Molorota output tranny?

Hey guys , i was given this Motorola (serial#25C859921) output transformer and I have no specs on it. I was just wondering if someone her could help me in determining what the lugs( which are numbered 1 through 9) are? I'm hoping to be able to use this for a project amp and would love to know how to wire the lugs.If anyone has any information or can direct me in finding out about this tranny it would be greatly appreciated.

My eyes ache just by looking at those pictures. Sorry.
Where did you pull it from?
The data you post is insufficient.

Hey guys, sorry for the crappy pics. I got this from an old TV/ Radio tube repair guy. He said it was an output tranny. The only other thing printed on the tranny is a number 5246215, that's it. I'll give the old guy a call and find out what it came out of today and get back to you. I believe it came from an old pa though because i had one similar that I pulled from an old lafayette pa with el84's and a ez81 rectifier.

Well guys, I contacted the guy who gave this to me and he said he couldn't remember what he removed it from. He also said that it most likely is a power transformer, military grade, because of the way it is all sealed.

15 minutes with an ohm meter, plus pencil and paper, will let you draw a windings map.
Post it, it might have some detectable logic.
After that, a couple tests might tell voltages and/or ratios.
The drawn iron housing was very common in the old days, also for "civilian" applications.
Please write everything it has on it.
