    rcc for gp8-fc100

Help me!!! I've lost my original cable rcc to gp8-fc100. May you help me to know how are the wires connects from gp8 and the wires connection from fc100? I'm able to solder the wires to 6pins but I don't know the diagram from both sides. Please help me.

Hi! I'm new to this forum, and I'm looking to rewire the RRC cable to MIDI cable so I can use it with the computer.

The only thing I'm not understanding is the GND rewiring.
Im supposed to connect MIDI cable shield (from pin nº2) directly to FC-100 chasis? how can I do that?

Maybe I'm just missing something obvious... but I cant get it

        Thanks!

          Hi, finally I've finished rewiring.

I soldered MIDI shield cable directly to main board GND and it works perfectly.

This is a basic schematics of what I've done, hope it helps someone.

sorry to bump a zombie back to life,
but any chance some kind soul could please send me the service notes for the fc100?

bought one off evilbay, just came in today..but it appears to be dead in the water. the first footswitch led lights up, but nothing else happening. i can't even find a voltage inside, so no idea how the hell the led is lit!!

i know the jack on my gp8 is good, as i used it in the past with my old fc100.

            thanks guys...
            peace

Just about all the documentation you could need for the FC-100 is on the Vintage Roland Guitar Synthesizer Resource:

              Roland FC-100 Features and Specifications - Vintage Foot Controller for GM-70, GP-16, GP-8, GR-50

You can find the FC-100 service notes (schematics) plus interior photos, demo videos, and details on building your own RRC-1 cable, and notes on the rare RMC-1, which converts the RRC-1 format to MIDI.

You can also find info on the Roland FC-100 MKII:

Roland FC-100 MKII Features and Specifications - Vintage Foot Controller for GM-70, GP-16, GP-8, GR-50

I then ordered male and female mating connectors so that I have two cables that break down for easy storage then quick connect for setup. My question: before i do the smoke test and connect the GP8 to FC i want to make 100% sure I've got the right GND ... that's pin 4 - right?
Where can I find the correct 6 pin DIN connectors for the FC100 to GP8,and or a new cable?

i too am looking for the basic pattern(pin location) for FC100mkII to GP8 basic function. Not midi. Are the wiring patterns the same at each end or are the location assignments different at each end?
