They seem to imply they are for guitar tone controls.
Anyway, $10 buys around 50 .022 ceramic tone caps, which "sound" exactly the same.
The problem is not the cap itself, but the transparent acrylic pickguard and the 2 small halogen spots pointing at it, so you can brag about it before your friends.
