Help! Crackle from Mackie/RCF ART 300a powered speaker

Hi folks,

My older Mackie/RCF ART 300a powered speaker recently started crackling in the HF driver. I just replaced it tonight and the problem is still there. Any thoughts?

Check those two 100 ohm resistors feeding the preamp chips their +/- 15 volts. they overheat and could be causing some dry solder joints
