I tried to download the schematics and get a 1 pixel gif. Any hope on getting a larger one? My eyes aren't what they use to be.

I'm looking for is a way to decrease the bass response. They have a new model out now called the BX8-D2's. This new version is supposed to have fixed that problem. They look the same so I'm wondering if there's a bass boost section built into these that maybe was bypassed.

Any thoughts on this? I really need to fix this problem so I can get some mixing done. Not able to buy better monitors now.

    Thanks... Rich

The forum database that stored the location of the uploaded files was corrupted and old schematics are not on the server anymore. Try asking on the "Schematic Request" topic forum, someone may have uploaded another version more recently, or making a post requesting will probably get a response in a day or less.

I am not familiar with the Bx8-D2 but most active cross-overs have a gain control on one or more filter outputs to balance response, if not one should be added. Having a dominate bass response results in mixes that are light in bass, which good or bad depending on the intended audience and playback method, good for home listening, bad for DJ mixes, of course several different mixes are released, each catering to the audience/playback method. I am not a big fan of small monitors for tone mixing but if very close to you, they are great for image mixing, where stereo effect is heard very distinctly by the mixer, that is lost in room monitors. That is why pro studios always have small speakers within an arm's length to the mixers ears for checking image placement, and large monitors some distance from the mix engineer to get tonal balance. One system can't do both very well and they are not intended to.

There is a dotted line around a circuit labeled "add a low cut circuit".

That may be what you are implying.
