  • Behringer ddx3216 power connection

    Hi Guys

I just got a Behringer DDX3216 MIXER the power supply is disconnected .Can anyone please help me with the power connections from the power supply to the mixer.

The fact that someone disconnected the power supply implies that the supply is most likely faulty.
It is a Switch Mode Power Power Supply, so be careful if you go digging around.
Here is a link to the schematic, if that will help.

I did repair the psu in my mixer but for testing separate pcb's i use a pc AT psu (black orange and red wire for 5 and 3.3 volt and yellow and blue for +/- 12 volt).
It has no output for +/- 8 volt but cpu unit and dsp don't need that.
I did replaced the processor on cpu with good results and now i'm waiting for a adsp2105l to replace it on dsp.
I wonder if a total replacement for the psu is possible with a slim line pc psu + dc converters for the +/- 8 volt.
An other question, do you have also the schematic LCDREVG.pdf because the one i have is not correct (missing the upper half)

Hi guys thanks for the schematics but still i cant find exactly where the 7 pin and 4 pin cables from the power supply connect on the mixer .I need to test the PSU behaviour so i can figure out my next step.It seems the markings on the DDX3216 mixer pcb boards are different from those on the schematics.

The PSU can be tested OUT of the mixer quite sucessfully ,and I WOULD NOT connect it to the mixer until its verified WITH ALL RAILS up and working.
The fact that its disconnected would make me suspect that the PSU is not the only failure !?
Sorry if thats harsh but you will get nowhere by randomly plugging it in , you could also render it toast (if not already so)
Would be nice if all these sub threads were keept in one place.
The schematics for the board connections are correct as far as i can remember, although the PSU one has a slight "page slip"
And the LCD one is incomplete, but beggars can't be choosers.

Hi I am new here and have got this DDX3216 from a friend who said it was working perfectly and had shipped it to me.
When I unpacked and powered it up, everything came on except the LCD which only lights up abt half and is completly black.
Have been trying to fix the issue but I am not very experienced with LCD's
Is it a fault of the LCD or any other IC, PSU related issue?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

            Thanks
