Deluxe Reverb Reissue Volume Mod?

Is there a way to change the taper on the volume pot?
0= no signal
3= full volume

Old DR's had a great taper. Could I add a resistor to the volume pot output and wiper?

Hah.
All the new Fenders do that.
The easiest way would be to change the phase inverter tube to a 12AT7.

Fender generally seemed to use a 30% taper on vol and treble controls of BF amps.
The DRRI also uses 30% taper pots for these controls http://www.webphix.com/schematic%20h...erb_manual.pdf
If you would prefer a gradual increase, a 10% taper may work better for you.
Maybe the old DR you remember had a replacement pot?

A 12AY7, 12AT7, 12DW7 in V1 or V2 would reduce gain, perhaps making it more usable for you.
