  • soldering onto conductive paint or glue

    Hi All
I have a Roland 80017A chip that has lost one of its legas and solder pad that the leg solbers onto
Can i use a conductive paint (suspended aluminium particles, Bare Paint or any other kind of paste/solution to cure this

    Cheers all

Given the pad size it may be better to hard wire the IC leg back to the nearest good solder point. This is likely to be more successful than using conductive paint. I'm assuming that there's still a stub of component leg left.

      Yup, what MB said.
A very fine strand of copper wire will also assist.

This is what the 80017A looks like under the epoxy.

If the solder pad is missing you might try conductive epoxy. Use a thin strand of wire as suggested.

I can't believe that price. Last time I bought some it was about $25
