If you think THAT is a lie, wait until you start decoding Class D specs! Tiny little chips, little to know cooling systems..... 1000W. REALLY??? Perhaps for a few microseconds! That's exactly how they rate these things. Actual sustainable power output is usually 25-33% of that claim.

The whole point of Class-D is that in theory it's 100% efficient, so a couple of small MOSFETs with minimal cooling can crank out a lot of power.
In practice there are all sorts of loss mechanisms so it is easier to just build a low-powered piece of junk and inflate the numbers.
