I know I see a few of you from here over there at Solid State Guitar Amp Forum | DIY Guitar Amplifiers - Index, but it has been offline or something now for at least a day. Anyone know anything about their situation? Fahey maybe?

I have been over there a bunch reading while I have been mixing a song all day today. Just checked into the site a minute ago... I did notice that there was a redirect link in my recently viewed web page list. That is strange since last week all the bots and ad-morons were having a field day! Perhaps your browser got stuck on a redirect page that was there?? I just clicked the link you posted went straight to the site just now. When the going gets weird... The weird turn pro!

I've looked at it a couple times today, no problem. Some new posts tonight, I posted before lunch and uploaded a schematic, no issues.
Maybe you have a corrupted cookie or something?Originally posted by EnzoI have a sign in my shop that says, "Never think up reasons not to check something."

COuld be, all I get is this:
http://www.ssguitar.com/cgi-bin/redirect.ha
And clicking the back to main page link just puts it back up.
And my first post link does it too..
If you don;t see what I see if is a big 404 message.
I'll clear my cookies then. I know I have to do that now and then, but it blanks a number of my log-in thingies, and I have to re-enter my passwords etc. Too much work for an old man, y'know?Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Your passwords should be retained while the cookies will be cleared.
On Windows 7 you will find it in 'Administrative Tools'.

OK, I found administrative tools, it was tucked into control panel, under systems and security. I might try that next time I want to clear cookies. Usually my cookie clearing is done with a menu item in the browser.
Apparently my computer defrags itself every week, all by itself. As far as I can tell, it hasn;t found much in the way of frags.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Most browsers allow you to "edit cookies" or some way to selectively remove them, I do that all the time.
A window or list opens, I start selecting and deleting a bunch of them, except, say, those from known places such as SSGuitar, MEF, Facebook, DIYAudio, etc. plus , say, Mail accounts, precisely to avoid reentering user names and passwords.
*OR*, in that particular case, you would kave killed the SS Guitar cookies *only*.Juan Manuel Fahey

Power out the last few days.
I just dump the cookies. I hate fucking around with the computer, so leafing through pages of cookies trying to figure out what they are is like getting a root canal. I donb;t like to re-enter my password to the forum here and there, but I accept it as part of the price.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
