Peavey VTX power board

Does anyone know a good source for a power supply board for an 80s Peavey VTX amp?

I have an amp that's been burnt out and hacked. Caps etc don't matter - just need a good board to begin with.

Well, good luck finding that.


If the old one is really history, it is only a power supply board, make one up with turrets or even eyelets from a hunk of PC board or even fiber board like an old Fender. Or perf board. Four big caps, 8 diodes, four fuses, and a handfull of small parts.

Well, If I can't get hold of one from a breaker, that's probably what I'll end up doing (if the customer wants to pay). Or etch one. Hardly worthwhile as these amps aren't worth much over here and there are other faults (including it needing a new 'pyramid' control), but the customer is attached to it.

Ever get one of those jobs where your heart just isn't in it?
