  • bugera v55hd reverb problem

when the reverb is switched on through the footswitch its totally max out like being set on 10 yet the reverb pot doesn't function if turned. I have attached a schematic for the v55 model minus the reverb circuit because its unavailable but added one for the v22 model which should be the same type digital reverb used in this model if anyone has any clue on fixing or troubleshooting this problem. I don't know it the reverb is supposed to work if the footswitch isn't plugged in but it doesn't. I just bought this amp used a week ago and everything worked fine till a couple days ago and i can't return it. THANKS

Initially I'd check the ground side of the reverb pot to see if the solder joint had gone bad. If the ground is missing you'll get the symptoms of maximum reverb level & the pot not affecting this.

Thanks i'll look there first. I did re solder the joints of that pot just for the heck of it when i last had it apart. But i'll start back there again. THANKS

If that looks good it may be worthwhile checking the pot has not lost contact between the resistive track and the pin on the ground side. Every so often I get a pot where the riveted or crimped joint doesn't make contact - just check the resistance sweep from wiper to ground.

I just figured out what the problem is. Its a bugera. I'll just use it for a backup/rehearsal amp cause i can't sell it without the reverb working and i can't figure it out and if i start pushing on the board everything cuts out so you lose some and win some and its not worth the cost added on to its value to take it to a authorized shop to get it properly repaired . Thanks a lot for trying to help.
