Popo, after lots of touring work, I've seen most plastic junk pedals fail, doesn't matter the brand. For volume pedals, the old standard tough-as-hell Ernie Ball, and I've had to make custom sustain etc. switches using Hammond 1590B boxes, Carling stomp switches, and Switchcraft jacks. What happens at the other end of the pedal cable can be a disaster - most modern keyboards have the jacks - cheap plastic ones of course - mounted directly to PC boards where they break off and fail unless very carefully handled. The players break their keyboard jacks then blame the cables, switches, and technicians. It's almost inevitable. Just had a case of this with a Yamaha keyboard. The JALCO jacks broke clear off the board, and the owner was steamed and took her keyboard back unrepaired when I couldn't find appropriate replacement jacks in a week. Wasted 2+ hours of bench time plus more hours fruitlessly searching for a vendor of the JALCO jacks which are unlike any others and couldn't be replaced with anything else. Naturally Yamaha would not sell any to me: I'm not an "Authorized Repair Facility." Typical crap customer support. This is just one more reason why I avoid working on keyboards. Good luck!
This isn't the future I signed up for.
