Hey guys,
My Dynacord Powermate 1000 Mk1, which has been mostly fantastic, has an issue with the EQ. For quite some time, on BOTH channels, my speakers randomly crackle really badly and greatly reduce the output level, and would only stop if I sent a lot of level quickly to them... like really getting into a mic or turning my iPod up. Always sounded like a dirty jack/bad cable to me. After cleaning the main output jacks and changing cables, I finally found the culprit was the EQ section. On both channels, turning the EQ on and off causes horribly bad crackling...sometimes. When I use the EQ out jacks, I could have this problem at any given moment, without me pushing any button. I've looked for cold solder joints, but everything looks good.
Is there anything else you guys can think of that might cause this issue?
Thanks for your help.
