I don't hear any hiss or anything, nor any popping or typical transient noises you make plugging in to the 1/4" jack. Pretty much dead air on both the right and bridged outputs, regardless of LEFT/RIGHT or MAIN/MON mode selection.
Yeah I know - it was just that mention of plugging into the jack that got me thinking, having experienced a few shorted jacks. That and the mention of dead air on both channels (as in possibly no hiss/pop/thump from the working one either).

If you read closely, he said that he heard no audible noise from either the right or bridged outputs. There's no mention of the left channel. Bridged output, of course, would require both channels to be working. I inferred (maybe wrongly) that the left output does make some noise. Your idea is still worthy of checking. As has been said here (paraphrasing), "Never think of an excuse not to check something".

Ah - good catch on the omission of "Left". Guess I read into it what I wanted to see (always hate it when I do that)...

Yup, sorry if I wasn't clear, but left side functions perfectly, right and bridged, nothing, no hiss, no sound.
