Power brakes, attenuators, etc. were invented so people could overdrive their power amps but tame very high volume.

Since you use your amps clean (fine with me) I don't see what's the point of using one.

Nor why you would use a Marshall .

Even further, since you end up using a clean preamp through a clean SS amp to drive your speakers, maybe you'de be better served by straight busing a straight SS amp.

There are many good ones, with gorgeous cleans.

And no, I don't mean a "JC120" which for tubeheads seems to be the only SS amp on Earth; there are many very good sounding Fender, Peavey, Crate amps out there.

This Power Tool was sold so us guitar players could do the Vanhalen brown sound, but not blow your brains out loud.....The only thing I really ended up liking was the power tool had a FX loop, and you can use both at the same time a tube preamp and a Non Master volume guitar amp and send it to a mixer,or power amps...But even a 50 watt Marshall is 115 watts, and the 100w. is 175w. No wonder the tubes were Flashing and glowing....

Make sure to get some de-oxit in those FX loop jacks (and all the other jacks too).

sorry for the nekro bump, but i'm actually inside of mine restoring it... and it's important to note, it can handle 100 watts PEAK, not RMS. that's why the tubes were flashing blue.... a 50 watt marshall, according to marshall's old documentation is 50 watts rms, 185 watts peak. so a 100 watt amp head, which was common when this was designed, was touted as being the limit... but a 100 watt marshall is probably closer to 300 watts peak. pumping it into a power tool will cause problems for both the power tool <blown input cap apparently is "common" for this rare bird> but will be the equivalent of blown speakers to the actual amplifier.
so something like a princeton, yeah, crank it full blast... maybe a deluxe even. but a dimed 100 watt marshall will lead to problems.
