Trouble Shooting Sunn SX8350 Powered Mixer

Hi Enzo! I recently repaired my friends Sunn SX8350 PA head. It was dropping audio on the left and right channels after it got warmed up. I found numerous cracked solder joints loose wires, loose ribbon connections and dirty pots. I tried setting the bias per schematic notes. I connected + meter probe to R47, and negative to chassis ground. . Schematic says 35 mV. But when I turn trim pot clockwise, I can only get 31 mv. But when I did this the unit started running really hot so I set it back to original settings which was around 8 mV. Would you please explain your method of setting the bias for this unit. I tried setting the bias per schematic notes. I connected + meter probe to R47, and negative to chassis ground.

The service notes say to read the voltage across R47, not to ground. So one lead on each side of R47.
