My cellphone is now starting to get all the calls that the landline used to get. Calling AT&T is a waste of time. Putting the display number on the block list doesn't work since it is an autodialer. I'm thinking of getting another cell number with a different area code. One that is cellphone specific.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

If most of the calls you get are spam calls, get an answering machine (or voice mail if you have it) and just don't answer. My cell phone lets me block numbers, so when I get calls from spammers I just block it. Some of them have somehow hacked caller ID and you get invalid numbers, so you can't do anything about those, but most legitimate businesses don't do that.

Whenever I get those calls on my cell phone, if I bother to wait for a human being, the first thing I say is, "Now who are you with again?" Click. They don't want nosy people like me ('cause they know I'll be calling the FCC on them.)
