Found a red and green wire not connected to anything inside the amp. Cannot trace to where they might go. they were soldered to something. They each come off of a 10w 200ohm resistor stack. Any ideas

It looks like the amp doesn't do anything wrong. Because it doesn't do anything at all!

Lower right page two and lower center page three. It looks like that's your voltage supply for all the preamp boards.?."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

We'll need to hear from mross001 about the state of operation before we know more."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

No I can't. The site has the PDF's protected so I can't download them. Besides that, Kustom schematics are kind of funny (not "HA HA", more like the way old fish smells). The main amp schematics are model diagrams that indicate board number schematics you need to access separately. This site has all the info with main diagrams and specific board schematics. I hope you can read them from the site. There's no membership there and I didn't have to agree to anything to view or link them.

I cannot download the schematics.
Well, they let me have this one at least:

OP, you need to check the power supply.
If you feel the problem is in the preamp, at least check any opamp for power to the supply pins.
On the preamp header, you can access the supply coming into the board.
Pin 1: -12Vdc
Pin 4: +12Vdc
Pin 5&6: Ground
Pin 9: Signal output

The preamps are supplied from the red and green wires that are regulated by the zener diodes via the molex plugs. These wires are connected directly to the power resistors from the power supply. They used to connect to the pilot lamps in the two front panel switches.
