  • Peavy mixer blowing fuses.

a friend of mine called as his peavy mixer is blowing fuses. Currently I'm not sure of the model. I would just like to know what should I be looking out for? I have little experience with mixing desks. My guess is a possible short somewhere.
What would be the first thing to look for?

Hi and welcome, but at the risk of sounding silly, you should be looking for the model name and number. Call him back and ask him to go look. otherwise, it is looking for the same things you look for in any amp that blows fuses: shorted output transistors, shorted main rectifiers, etc.

Thanks, yeah you are right although I was just thinking what are the likely culprits in general. Guess il find out tomorrow when he arrives

I mentioned the likely things above, there is nothing different about Peavey amps, amps are amps.
