Anyone buy tubes from this source? Shipping Info - Tubes-Store.com

I'm looking for some tubes to fix old HP 202C generators and I noticed they also carry 6L6's etc.
Chelyabinsk is where that meteor hit in 2013 luckily at high altitude.

The Tube Store was hit and miss for awhile. I got three bad sets of tubes from them IN A ROW! I reported it here and others had similar reports. Also, for me anyway, a higher than usual number of uselessly noisy or microphonic preamp tubes per batch. I was thinking they were just flipping tubes as received from the wholesaler or testing them under seriously wimpy conditions. Bad form for a vendor that charges the same premium as others who actually manage to cull bad tubes. This is just a nit pick, but I bought some tubes from them for a project and ended up not plugging them in until they were a week out of warranty. One of the power tubes shorted in minutes. I called them and explained the situation, hoping for some sympathy and understanding, only to be told it was MY problem and I should have tested them sooner. WHAT? I have to test the tubes I buy from a distributor now? That use to be part of the deal and accounted for their markup. Sorry... Just thinking about it makes me grumpy.

The Tube Store may, or may not be on par with others anymore. I can't imagine they stayed in business they way they did it with me. If they were the last place to get tubes I'd start playing transistor amps.

I don't think Ruby vendors the tubes you need for the HP, but they're a good bet for most guitar amp tubes. Better testing, better warranty, fewer problems.

Great catch g1!!! I'm speaking about my personal experience with thetubestore. Since tubes-store is a different vendor I have no commentary (Other than what I already said about thetubestore. Which I'll apparently say at any opportunity ).
