They are not getting the full 120W. I run them in parallel with a full range speaker using the -passive- XO. That is the same set up as at my up coming gig except with more horsepower for the power amp. That set -up biamps the subs with JBL JRX-215's (I think) on top. These have plenty of bass but need a little more for cutting through at the top end.
This gig may get cancelled due to snow but if not I'll report how they work. They did sound pretty hot in my basement. And yes they did kick ass in the past.
I have high hopes for the compressive nature of the light bulbs. I do worry that the more powerful amp will blow the light bulb. I have spare bulbs though.
