Vox Continental I D key Problem

Hi, before fixing my harmonic IV drawbars problems i forgot i had to key dead on the D section, The first is playing a higher pitch, the second is dead, and thr third and fourth are working correctly. SOmeone told me to change the 2 first divider sets on the D card to fix the problem but it dosnt change anything at all.

BTW the dividers i changed came from vintage vide so its the good ones

There are 7 octaves of D notes coming from the oscillator/divider board. Before you can know which set of divider transistors to replace you need to identify which of the 7 octaves is working and which ones are not.

If you pull out only the 16' drawbar, you should hear the lowest 4 octaves available. Now with only the 16' drawbar pulled out which D-keys sound and which ones do not?

Watching the video shows that the lowest (7th divider) D is one octave too high and that the 6th divider note is missing. A missing note can be a circuit problem or a bad contact where the board plugs into the socket.

Which two transistors did you replace on the D board?

The fifth divider is the one that is not working, so double check the work that you did when replacing the transistors. Also check to see that there are no loose parts or cold solder connections or solder bridges in the same circuit.

There are resistors and capacitors in the divider circuits as well as the two transistors. Do you have a method for testing the other parts?

Also have you replaced or adjusted the bias trimmer resistor?
