Trying to fix my buddies mixer. BR1 is bad and I was wondering if anyone knows the specs for it. Carvin only sells the whole power supply board and it's not for sale on their site. I was gonna replace the 2 power caps also but the bridge has a hole in the middle for a screw to attach board to chassis. http://carvinimages.com/schematics/C...Mod-07548D.pdf

It's just a bridge. If you can't find something that fits, look at the power consumption spec on the back and divide by 120 or the main fuse value. Then replace the bridge with 4 rectifier diodes over rating that current by 20% or a bridge that will fit with the same overrating. Having it more robust won't hurt as long as it fits. Sometimes you have to make the 4 board holes larger with a drill bit.Comment
