Who here replaces ribbons? How are you locating and getting the correct tension before tightening the clamps? Any tips welcome.

I sat down and eventually got the hang of it. After trying a few techniques that I'd read I found a small artist's paintbrush, slightly moistened, to be the one I prefer. Clamp one end, a little saliva to stick the other end to the frame, and use the brush to pick up/re-position the ribbon. Then fit the other clamp.
Now, the only thing I need to do is find some more ribbon foil that isn't a ludicrous price in the UK.

How do you plan to corrugate the ribbon? What thickness are you using?
