  • Kawai P250 Upright Dig Piano

OK, so we have this Kawai P250. Has some dead keys. I'm thinking the usual sense pads, open it up and this thing has wooden keys and I'm not 100% sure how to get to the boards. There is a long wood strip across the top I'm assuming holds the keys in. This one is quite a bit different from the standard digital kb's.

Anybody ever work on one of these? Thought I'd ask before digging in. That wood in there is like balsa. Really light so I don't want to force anything. No svc manual online either. No youtube aids.

    Thx in adv

I can't speak specifically to that unit as I don't recall working on one. I will say that on many of these type of keyboards, you remove the keyboard assembly as a whole unit and access the key switches from the bottom.
