roadhouse pickups

i have a new fender roadhouse strat and when i have it in the neck pickup position it is considerably more quiet thsn the other positions is this normal

No, due to the position of the pickup it normally is louder and fuller sounding than the other two. Do you have the middle tone control fully clockwise? Is the height of the neck pickup about the same as the other two?
