This isn't about music related electronics, but I have a 1st gen iPhone that I use as an mp3 player. The power switch stopped working. I looked into replacing it with a used one, and indeed did order one for a few dollars. But first, I dropped one drop of D5 into the button of the unopened iPhone, waited about an hour and presto! Working power switch. Gotta love it when things go your way every once in a while!
